Appropriations Legislation fully funding Our National Parks & Our Analysis of the Bill
In 2025, we revamped Unite the Parks to meet the moment, and became Unite 4 Parks, focusing on protecting our National Parks. We generated two reports on parks distributed to legislators and staff on Capitol Hill, we lobbied for a National Parks support letter, which was sent to the President and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum in June. The efforts garnered results, as the federal government fully funded parks in 2026.
Our original legacy work focused on protecting the federal land between Yosemite and Sequoia-Kings Canyon by creating the Range of Light National Monument. Here is the associated legislation, and our support from the North Fork Mono, the California legislature, the DNC, the California Democratic Party, 200 scientists, and more than 100 organizations.
